Angels on earth .. Thank You!

When was the last time you connected to someone who has truly helped you in life and said “Thank You for being there”? Don’t we all have people in our lives who have helped us one day and picked us up after tumbling in life’s hurdles? Were we too busy to reconnect with them? Did work come as a priority to pause, reflect and say “Thank you”?

This week’s blog is focusing on how we take life for granted, specifically great people whom we meet during our journey .. the ones who help us through, gave us without waiting for pay back, really loved to see us happy and grow .. then we simply took them for granted and got driven by life .. we got too busy to realize how important they were to our journey and to where we are now .. Isn’t it time to pause and reflect?

The journey through “Dead Ends”

If we do a simple exercise … grab a piece of paper, then go through your life and try to memorize the times you thought you had no way out, and it was a “Dead end” for you .. Remember those times? I had many …

How many of us have gone through emotional stress? Job loss? Great confusion at work or in life? Problem with your boss? Advice on your career? The need for someone to believe in you and give you a chance to grow .. the need for someone trustful who can help you out .. Have you been through those situations before? Do you remember who lent a hand to get you out?

I once started writing the names of people who helped through several dead ends in my life and as I was going through the list, half way through I realized that many of those great people have already passed away .. they left … and I didn’t have the opportunity to properly say “Thank you” for the sincere help, great advice, and support they have provided me .. I had to pause then and reflect .. what happened? Why did I get dragged in life and forgot to connect to those people before it was too late? I then realized that we, as people, are getting more and more robotic in nature and we don’t truly think of others unless we bump into them .. physically (in a networking event / shopping mall ..etc) or psychologically (for the sake of benefit, advice, career support ..etc).

With all of the huge numbers of distraction in life, we shouldn’t forget those who have shed light on our way, and showed us light at the end of the tunnel .. the ones who helped us get through the darkness of situations into the light of opportunities ..

Bit by bit, we are getting busier with life and slowly losing the value of “Gratitude” .. The simple feeling of appreciation to others around us who are helping us through and paving our way towards success ..

Let’s take few minutes and pause .. then write the names of those whom you are grateful to, .. send them a message, forward them this article, or tag them somehow and say .. “I am grateful for everything you have done to me in my life” .. Thank you for being there when I needed you most .. Let’s do this today before it becomes too late to say it .. let’s spread love around, and be thankful to the amazing angels whom we had throughout our lives ..

Without you, I wouldn’t be where I am today ..
